Jim, a grandson of our late founder, Clarence "Mickey" Landen, Jr., began his banking journey as a facilities intern for the bank. Amidst the routine tasks of landscaping and cleaning, Jim gained insight into the meticulous workings of a business. Witnessing the professionalism and warmth of the employees, he knew joining the family business was his career calling.
Fast forward to 2016, and Jim's dedication led him to a full-time role within the bank. Today, as the Chief Operating Officer and Nebraska Market President, Jim embodies a genuine commitment to his team, believing that the power of collective effort is the cornerstone of success for both clients and the bank.
Driven by a commitment to daily growth and evolution within the financial sector, Jim pursues continuous education. After more than ten years in various financial positions, James joined the family business as Market President for Security National Bank of Texas in 2019, leading the charge in establishing its presence. James, a grandson of our late founder, Clarence "Mickey" Landen, Jr., and the son of our executive chairman, Jim Landen, is no stranger to the ins and outs of the banking industry; he grew up with it.
Under James's guidance, Security National Bank of Texas opened its doors at The Union in Uptown Dallas in the Spring of 2020, swiftly positioning itself as a hub for Small Business Administration (SBA) Lending. James's relentless efforts resulted in the bank attaining SBA Preferred Lender status and ranking among the Top 10 Lenders in Dallas, TX, and Omaha, NE.
In early 2023, James launched the Texas market's Loan Production Office, driving the expansion of our lending program. Recognizing the importance of bolstering our team, he prioritized recruitment to ensure the seamless delivery of exceptional service. With nearly 15 years of banking expertise in the Dallas market, James understands the importance of strong client and community relations.
His commitment to community engagement is evident through his active involvement in the Southern Methodist University (SMU) Alumni Association and various service organizations. James serves as President of the SMU Athletic Department's Mustang Club, responsible for all fundraising efforts, and serves on various SMU Board of Trustee committees including the Athletics Committee Board, the Athletics Council Board, the Development and External Affairs Board, and the Capital Campaign Board. Davidson, Clinton served as Vice President of Investment and Brand Strategy at SMITH HAYES, where he was Chairman of the firm’s Equity Focus Group and guided the firm’s marketing and brand efforts.
In addition, Clinton is an instructor at Creighton University at the Heider College of Business, where he has taught topics including Portfolio Management, Investment Analysis and Quantitative Methods for Investment Analysis.
Clinton received his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Northwestern University-Kellogg School of Management in Evanston, Illinois and his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska-Omaha. He also earned his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and has served on the Board and as President of the CFA Society of Nebraska.
In his free time, Clinton enjoys spending time at the lake boating, fishing and watching sports. He and his wife have five children, ages 2 to 12.
