Business Mobile Banking FAQs

What is Mobile Banking?

Mobile banking is an app for business customers enrolled in online banking with an Apple or Android phone or tablet and a data service plan or Wi-Fi access. Clients are given the ability to access their business accounts and perform a variety of banking functions from the convenience of a mobile phone. You can use the app to:

  • Securely Sign In/Sign Out
  • View eligible account balances and transaction history
  • View check images
  • Transfer funds between eligible accounts
  • Approve or reject funds, ACH, and Wire transfers
  • Approve or reject Positive Pay exceptions
  • Receive alerts for pending approvals
  • Make mobile deposits
  • View mobile deposit history
  • Contact us with a push of a button
  • Accept push notifications (this can always be changed in your phone settings)

Is the Business Mobile Banking app secure?

Our mobile security uses the same high standards we use in our Business Online Banking site. It is designed to provide a secure exchange of information with our customers. We utilize multiple security protocols, including firewalls, data encryption and customer authentication techniques when you access your data or submit transmissions. Account information is never stored on your phone.

What devices are supported with the app?

Apple and Android devices, including tablets.

What is the difference between Business Online Banking and the Business Mobile Banking app?

You can perform many of the same functions on your mobile phone as you can on your computer. The app is simply optimized for your mobile phone, making it easier to use.

Can I deposit more than one check at a time?

No, if a deposit has multiple checks, they must be deposited one at a time.

What should I do with the paper check(s)?

Keep checks in a securely locked drawer or cabinet in case the check is needed for additional bank verification. All deposited checks should be shredded after 60 days. Please check your account history to verify your deposit has been credited. It is also a good idea to write ‘already deposited’ on the front of your check after you know it has been accepted so it’s not deposited again.

How do I turn on Approval Alerts?

Contact treasury operations support at (877) 686-3590.

What if my phone number changes?

If your mobile phone number changes, go to your mobile app. You'll need to make three updates:

  1. Go to Menu > Settings > 2-Factor Authentication to update your phone number.
  2. Go to Menu > Settings > Update Contact Information > Update Cell Phone to add your new number.
  3. Go to Menu > Settings > Alert Delivery Preferences to update your alert delivery methods.

What if my mobile phone is lost or stolen?

If your mobile phone is lost or stolen, no one can access your account without knowing your password and, in some cases, your unique Login ID. Please get in touch with your business's administrator or contact our Customer Care Center at (855) 614-4061 for further assistance or if you suspect fraud.

What if I forget my password?

Your password for online and mobile banking is the same. If you forget your password when logging into mobile banking, please use the 'Forgot your password?' link during the login process and follow the prompts. If you need additional assistance, please contact our Customer Care Center at (855) 614-4061.

How is a User’s access to the Business Mobile Banking app deactivated?

An admin can deactivate or contact our Customer Care Center at (855) 614-4061.

What are some tips to keep my Business Mobile Banking experience safe?

  • Treat your mobile phone with the same care regarding passwords and security as your PC.
  • Never save or share your login ID and password on your mobile phone.
  • Install an antivirus app approved by your phone carrier.
  • Keep mobile phones within your sight at all times.
  • Activate the mobile phone's locking feature after a period of inactivity and use strong passwords.
  • Report mobile phone theft immediately.
  • Avoid using mobile phones over unsecure Wi-Fi networks.
  • Keep Bluetooth out of discovery when not in use.
  • Be aware of the potential for fraudulent text messages (SMS/MMS). The bank will never request or invite customers to sign on to its Business Mobile Banking app by text.
  • Keep your mobile phone's operating system and installed apps up to date.
  • Download and apply security updates and patches to your mobile phone when they are made available by your wireless provider. These are designed to protect you from known security issues.
  • Do not install pirated software or software from unknown sources.

Mobile Banking Security

Security Features

To ensure the safety and privacy of your account information, we provide some key security features in Mobile Banking:

  • 2-Factor Authentication (2FA)—We send you a unique activation code to verify your phone number. This code associates your mobile phone with your account and lets you know your mobile phone number has been successfully registered in our system.

  • Authentication—You are authenticated for every interaction with Mobile Banking.
  • Encryption—We use 128-bit encryption for all transactions.
  • Fraud Detection—We incorporate mechanisms such as transaction validation and transaction reconciliation processes to detect fraud.
  • Audit-ability—Business administrators can audit employees through the app.
  • No Identifiable Information—We don't return any personally identifiable information in a text message, such as your full account number, e-mail address, or personal address. We never ask for or include your user ID or password in any message we send.

Mobile Device Security Tips

Recommended tips to help you secure your mobile device:

  • Treat your Smartphone with the same care regarding passwords and security as your PC.
  • Keep smartphones within your sight at all times.
  • Don’t use USB chargers found in public places, such as airports; use wall outlets instead. Fraudsters could have tampered with these chargers; if so, they could install malware on your phone.
  • Activate phone locking after inactivity and use strong passwords or PINs for reactivation.
  • Utilize your phone's auto-wipe feature if someone repeatedly enters incorrect passwords.
  • Back up Smartphone applications and content regularly.
  • Report Smartphone theft immediately so remote locking or remote wiping can be activated.
  • Avoid using smartphones over unsecure Wi-Fi networks.
  • Keep Bluetooth out of discovery mode when not in use.
  • Avoid clicking on links in SMS and Email messages unless you have verified the sender.
  • Do not use a jail-broken phone or attempt to jailbreak your phone.
  • Only download approved apps for your device.
  • Only download apps you will use, and research the credibility of any app you are unfamiliar with. Look out for applications that unnecessarily seek access to contacts or locations, and carefully read user application ratings before downloading.
  • Keep your phone's operating system and installed apps up to date.
